What's the movie "BABETTE'S FEAST" about?

Beautiful but pious sisters Martine (Birgitte Federspiel) and Philippa (Bodil Kjer) grow to spinsterhood under the wrathful eye of their strict pastor father on the forbidding and desolate coast of Jutland, until one day, Philippa's former suitor sends a Parisian refugee named Babette (Stéphane Audran) to serve as the family cook. Babette's lavish celebratory banquet tempts the family's dwindling congregation, who renounce such fleshly pleasures as fine foods and wines.

"TRI-CITY GOSPEL CHORUS SINGSPIRATION!"

DATE: Sunday May 26, 2019

TIME: 6:30 P.M.

LOCATION: West Flamboro Presbyterian Church Sanctuary - 262 Middletown Road at Highway #8

ADMISSION: A FREE WILL OFFERING will be gratefully received during the singspiration.

The interdenominational Tri-City Gospel Chorus's 100 members span southern Ontario - from Huntsville and Barrie in the north, Peterborough and Uxbridge in the east to Elora and Guelph in the west , Niagara-on-the-Lake and Welland in the south.

These men have been presenting their "Singspiration!" services in churches as widely spread as the membership, ever since the chorus was founded in 1995 - and they are fully committed, right now, for services into 2020!

Most Tri-City music is sung without accompaniment in the barbershop mode, but recently they have added a few gospel songs using background music while still singing four-part harmony. Praise, humour, fellowship and worshipping Christ as Saviour continue to be the building blocks on which the chorus was founded. Tri-City thank God for giving them the opportunity to worship Him in an exciting and harmonious way.

Come and enjoy a relaxing evening of contemporary and inspirational music and vocals along with a generous sprinkling of good old-fashioned humour.

This evening is guaranteed to be "sit back, relax and fill your soul to overflowing" with this presentation.

There will be a Reception in the Fellowship Hall following the concert.

Click HERE to view the Tri-City website. The website gives many details about the formation and history of the Chorus as well as a listing of where they have performed and will perform. Have a look!
